The Accountancy Practice are in the running for three different business categories in the prestigious Biz4Biz awards which will be held at a Gala Dinner at Tewinbury Farm on 8^th July.  They are Best Small and Medium, Best Family and Best Professional Services Business.

“We were all set up to present for the awards a couple of years ago, when Covid struck, so it’s great to be back where we were, with a couple of extra categories this time too” says David Froggett, Managing Director.

“It’s impossible to know what impressed the judges but after some adjustments early on, and a head down approach, we’ve actually managed to have our most successful quarter ever, in terms of turnover and numbers of new clients. While all businesses still had to submit taxes, we were lucky that ours were happy to reach out for support from us, and our frequent updates, which also extended to THEIR clients, who we advised for free as it seemed the right thing to do. We spent many hours offering help to explain things when people were saying their accountants had simply closed the doors and never returned!”

The business also launched a high profile programme of investment to the local community, where grants of £500 a month were used as seed corn finance for start ups or emergency funds for people who were experiencing personal crisis.

The Accountancy Practice are also up for Best Family Business and David had this to say “Taking over a business from your father, especially when they are a larger than life character such as John, is not without its challenges. However he is so grateful that both his sons, Adam and myself, have followed him into the business and given us free rein to progress our vision.
